What are some good reasons to get on Facebook?
So, I want a Facebook account, but my mom won't let me get one. She said it's because I don't have a good reason to get one. I tried telling her that it's a great to connect and chat with my friends, but she said I can do that with texting and email. What are some other good reasons that I can tell her?

It's a great way to get connected with news and current events, and because it's a lot more popular now, it's one of the best ways to communicate with lesser known people. It can be used for school because if you're put into a group for a project you'll be able to communicate with them even if you don't have their phone number or email. And believe it or not, you can actually become better friends with someone by talking to them on facebook. Also, let's say you're bored one night, you could say on Facebook "Anyone want to do something tonight?" and a bunch of people would see it and maybe one would respond. It's just overall a better way to communicate.

Being on facebook helps you connect with people who you don't see or even do in do many other ways than just talking. You can find out what's happening with people, have group conversations and share photo's. It helps you to make friends with people at school who you may not talk to.

Could she just not trust you enough? Try and convince her you'll be responsible.

Thats all I've got sorry. Hope this helped though! x
