How many songs can a 8Gb Ipod Touch hold,and what are some must have apps?

So, tomorrow I am going to buy an Ipod Touch...
but i don't which one!
I will have mainly mostly songs ans few videos and movies
so am i better off saving $50 and getting the 8Gb?

Also what are some apps that are amazing that i should get?
I know i will be getting getting Facebook and pocket guitar, and other suggestions? (i like app games mostly)

that is smart getting an 8gb and saving the 50$, or you could go ahead and buy the 16gb which would allow you to be a little more free, witht he built-in speakers and the freedom of more apps, but the 8gb is great because of the money ou save, I like the 16gb but if the money is a damper, go ahead and buy the 8gb, it's still a touch. I like tap= tap revange 1 and 2 they are both great, another is cube runner( my person favorite) and idoodle is fun, to find out the best just go to itunes store and look int he app's you'll find a lot of intresting ones

The 8GB was enough space for me! Ive had my ipod since december and have only used 1GB. I have a lot of apps too.. movies take up a lot of space though. A TON. If you're going to have more than 1 movie on there you should get a 16 GB or a 32GB. The 8GB can hold about 1750 songs. 16GB can hold 3500 and the 32GB can hold 7000 songs.
