1 in 4 women have experienced rape or attempted rape. Is this true?

I know at least six rape victims. But I think most women have experienced some form of sexual harassment - and I'm not talking about wolf whistles or cat calling.
I personally have been groped, harassed, and stalked. All very frightening and deeply upsetting.

Of these so called 1 in 4 rape cases, I wonder how many were just some drunk girl who willingly had sex, then blacked out, then regretted her actions the next day and cried rape because she couldnt remember going upstairs with the guy.

That 1 in 4 women have been raped is so unlikely, that anyone who believes it has a high probability of suffering severe mental illness. Normal people know that virtually no men rape.

You have to remember that many of the women who frequent this forum, claiming to know multiple rape victims, are very bitter individuals, who hate men, have probably never known a man's love and are now beyond the point where they could hope to find it, and suffer paranoid delusions about sexual assault.

I have to simply frown on these. They are so warped. The definition of rape, that is.

Take away those that "felt" raped but weren't.
Take away those that were not raped at all, yet got someone sentenced for rape.
And so on.

Do I think there is too much rape, same as any other crime? Yes. But saying by that amount, I simply do not agree.
Most of my friends growing up were/are female. There was two that were raped. Out of the fifty - odd women, only two were raped.

I think that people that conclude such statistics warp the definition of rape to things that are not actually rape, yet classify it as, and then add them all up.

It depends on the definition being used. Some studies will categorise staring at someone (in whatthe reporter says is 'a funny way' as attempted rape.

Remember theses are claims (unsubstantiated) not actual rapes or attempted rapes.
