How do I meet new people in Richmond va?
I have lived here on and off again since I was 12 years old. I moved away to San deigo during my junior year I high school and at dirt I didn't like it but at the end of it I didn't want to come back to Virginia. My parents moved around alot when I was a teenager so I was never at one school for more than a year. I have met alot of people in Richmond because of all the diffrent schools I have been to however I have never formed a super good close friendship with anybody. I have had many friends over the years but now I am friendless. My only friends are the ones that I meet online on twitter and tumblr and most don't even live in the same state as me or country for that matter. I have one friend here but she never wants to hang out ever and she hangs around her boyfriend for the most part. Seems like I can not find anyone new to hang out with for the life of me. Most people my age (24) are married and have a kid or are working on it. It's hard to meet people that are single and fun and don't mind doing things. Everyone here is boring and no one wants to make friends with an "outsider". Seems like most people here stay in cliches and don't break our of them. Where are some places I can go to meet new people? I go to Jtcc )local communtiy college. But I only have 4 more classes to go until I graduate from there. The whole time I have gone to this shook I have not made one friend. Lots of aquantinces but no friends. This city is not dry diverse and it seems Like maybe I have a hard time making friends because I'm Hispanic. Seems like people here have a negative attitude towards anyone who is not white or black because there are not many Asians or hispanic people here. I'm from Houston Texas and most Hispanic people there speak english. Here in Richmond people treat me like a forigner and they always assume I can't speak English or that I am an illegal immigrant. It gets frustraiting because I feel like people are not giving me a chance.
