Is Craigslist safe to post a babysitting ad?
I have been CPR and First Aid certified for 3 years and I'm very responsible. I also Have babysat a variety of kids from 0 to 11 and I have yet to receive a babysitting job. Every time I hand a business card out they say "You surely will get a call!" But, I never do and it's like they avoid me after. -_-"

How old are you? You seem qualified but most parents wouldn't hire under the age of 16, sometimes even 18. Also, posting things online is not safe. Maybe post something on Facebook to people you actually know and have them tell their friends. That's a lot safer.

No, you will get all sorts of pervs and crazy people. Try putting an ad in the newspaper. It's a whole lot safer.

You can post your ad on many different media outlets. Craigslist probably is the one you want to consider as a last resort.

You might want to consider reviews of any site you are considering posting your information on.

The part that you have to remember is being safe online and on job interviews.

Other security measures you should take are as follows:

1. Always meet your perpective employer in public. or
2. If you go to meet someone at their home, make sure you let someone know where you are going.
and try to meet both parents at the same time, if possible.
3. Be selective with who you hand out your business cards to. You don't want everyone knowing where you live.

No, it's not safe at all. You have NO IDEA who will be contacting you.

Try to find some other ways to advertise.

I almost got scammed on craigslist. Some guy I contacted about housecleaning issued me a $2000 check from a stolen account. Luckily I didnt cash it. I would try telling people in your community. Maybe put an ad in the newspaper or broadcast it on your facebook.

Make sure you have professionally designed business cards and network locally. It's hard work but it's a numbers game. You have to get out there and network and pass out as many cards as you can until you get the results you desire.

You can design and print babysitting business cards at http://www.designsnprint.com
