E - reader vs. Tablet?
Hi! I want to purchase either a tablet or an e - reader, but I'm not sure which one would best suit my needs. I want to, primarily, be able to read and purchase books. However, I would also like to play games and stream/purchase content. Any input?
Thanks for the answers; I decided on a tablet :>

Tablet
Pros:
- can be used like a reader (you just need to add a free application which allows a tablet to work as a reader)
- watch movies
- browse internet
- wide selection of apps(games, programs, etc.)
Cons:
- shorter battery life then a e-reader
- eyes might strain from prolonged usage(especially reading)
e-reader
Pros:
- usually smaller size and a lot lighter
- has a very long battery life
- Made with specific technology that allows longer reading time with less eye strain.
Cons:
- e-readers don't have games to my knowledge

Final thought if your eyes don't strain from long hours on the computer tablet would be a better choice, but if you mostly prefer to read and not worry about anything else get an e-reader

In accordance to what you need it for, I would recommend getting a tablet for that purpose. Specifically an e-reader tablet I.e Kindle Fire HD.

Review from an owner of Kindle Fire HD on "Kindle vs Kindle Fire":

The benefits of getting Kindle Fire over Kindle are in great amount like:
- You can watch movies/ tv shows
- Surf internet
- Listen to music
- Skype via front facing HD camera
- Play tons of games
- Read books/magazines and PDF's are better supported
- Use various apps for different purposes
- Youtube/facebook/twitter

While Kindle Paperwhite is more for reading-only purpose where you have the advantage of having e-ink screen which is readable even under direct sunlight and is just like reading from a book causing no eye-strains whatsoever.

Kindle Fire HD - Best offer:
