Is it kind of funny how the majority has always been wrong?
Not always, but most of the time, and on most of the issues. Especially the majorities of medium to large countries. Since we are a social animal, like lemmings, herd mentality is hard wired into most of our brains. It only makes sense that most of us would rather jump off a cliff with everyone else than be alone.
Lemmings cross a river to mate or give birth(I can't remember which) to their young on the other side, they are migratory. There are many examples animals with fatal instincts across the animal kingdom (sockeye salmon for another). Falacy..pfft, your full of them. @Peaceful Rebel: You have a point, and it is a documented method govs in the past and present have or are using. But, it is not an absolute. This argument is an apologetic one, yet important. Based on what you said, alone, there is no need to teach a child morals then? @ Texas girl: Look up the definition of "diffusion of responsibility" or "mob mentality" or watch VH1 Ads |

On "Millionaire" the majority of the audience is right, most of the time.

Ugh. You think all people are mindless, that they cant take care of themselves. But I know people can be brave and strong, they can overcome challenges and work to better things. Without seeking proof you have allowed your judgement to be colored by prejudice.

You might want to look up "Wisdom of the crowd"
A crowd of people tend to have more knowledge in a category than an expert of said category. |

Isn't it funny how elitists always claim this and yet they continue to use propaganda to create the monster that they so fear and seek to control?
One can learn morals from experience, as one can learn many things from it. Hitting person = making that person sad and/or angry at you. Due to something called mirror neurons, we are hard-wired to empathize and making a person feel bad will also make him or herself feel bad. Since we don't like negative stimulus, we adapt and avoid such behavior. This is how humans initiallly and naturally developed morality. It is also how I developed my moral code. |

Not remotely true.
You've just cherry picked the small number of issues for which this is true. Poo, not a good food. Herpes, still not cool. |

That's because the people who know what's going on, are always going to be in the minority.
Even then, the 'enlightened' are divided into two camps; those that try to reduce the societal ignorance, and those that try to exploit it. |
