UPDATED:
GeoCities was a general web site creation service, while Yahoo! 360 was a social-networking service that featured a blog.

Yahoo! has updated their profiling system to have social-networking features. If you would like to use that service actively instead, go to your Yahoo! Profile at http://help.yahoo.com/tutorials/prof/index.html for tutorials on how to set it up.

The Yahoo! Profiles system upgrade is part of Yahoo!'s "Open Strategy". Yahoo! made a decision to centralize services and generate more ad revenue through relationships with third-party developers. See the source links below for more information about their plans.

If you are interested in creating a general web site through Yahoo!, that option is no longer free. You can do so via a Yahoo! Web Hosting plan at http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/webhosting/ .
