I need to find my Dad to try and strangle $38,000 of back child support out of him... nuff said.

You won't get a full background for free - you'll have to pay for that. But you can get a good deal of info using these sites:

Avoid the ads on the sites.
There's a fair amount of deadends also.
If you stick with it, you should be able to find him. I had success finding a friend's birth mother and several old friends

its not free but very cheap & well worth it. various databases and search engines
its like 25.00 year or 12.00 month
doesnt apply to every state so make sure your target is listed

Hello,

I have had good luck with http://www.thesearchgods.com. Not free but powerful. If you have thay much at stake, why not spend $40 to find the creep?
