Boyfriend cheated! what to do?

A bit of information first
I've been going out with my boyfriend for basically a year now. I'm head over heels in love with him and I've had boyfriends in the past and have never felt this way! so it's not some stupid love story
anyhow I found out he was texting girl on Facebook and said to her what my girlfriend wont know wont hurt her which was really upsetting and now I found out he went with another girl and there's a photo of it somewhere!

I have asked him why and he said it was a stupid mistake and he regrets it 100% and he apologised loads! we have talked about it and stuff but I have a feeling that this wasn't the first time so I asked him and being a boy he said no!

all my friends tell me to dump him that he has cheated and I need to let him go and stuff but I cant bare the thought of being without him!!

please give me your advice it would really be appreciated!!

Leave him. He is going to continue to cheat on you. They all apologize and they all keep doing it. He is expecting you to forgive him as he does with all his GF. When you leave him he will replace you with another. If you stay with him then you cant complain about it. Even your friends will lose sympathy for you and be irritated when you come to them with more cheating news. MOVE ON. Sorry, but being honest.

Talking to others on facebook is not cheating is it? I think it depends on the content and intentions he had. I would wait on marriage for a good long time. I think he needs to get serious about his life.

Its quite simple,you stay with a cheat and and liar and put up with him bringing nasty diseases back to you,or you say i am better than that, and you dump him! your choice,but from experience i can tell you that a man never ever just cheats once,because if you forgive him he sees it as a green light to do it again,the trust is gone,so as they say,move on! By the way,at this very minute he is cheating on you,he never stopped!
