For the 497,826th time...
The Internet is not some magical cash machine.
There are NO online jobs. No data entry. No surveys. No clicks. Nothing. Anywhere. Really. You have a better chance of being hit by lightning.

All online jobs are a scam and any sites asking you to pay to join to make money are scams. As you mentioned there are PTC sites and others that give you money. Generally the more you do online and the more time you spend online the more you can make, but none of the following are jobs.

The main way many people make money online is through their own website or web pages. Of course, if you've no clue how to make a website that is not the best option, but there are still other options.

Sell items online: http://www.squidoo.com/ebay-site

Write articles: http://www.squidoo.com/writing-a-lens

Write reviews: http://www.squidoo.com/dooyoosite

Do surveys: http://www.squidoo.com/points2shop-cashle-site
My proof that it works: http://www.squidoo.com/points2shop-proof-page

Use a Google powered search engine, play games watch videos and more: http://www.squidoo.com/swagbucks-site

Complete one offer and invite friends to the site: http://www.squidoo.com/freebiejeebies-is-real

Social networking (like facebook, myspace etc, only you get paid): http://www.squidoo.com/sideticknetworking

All these sites are 100% free to join and use! Some even give you a bonus just for joining. How they work is by advertisers paying them for advertising their product/services and the sites all give a percentage of that money to you.

There are of course many other websites; some good and some scams. So to make sure you don't get scammed check out this site, http://www.squidoo.com/avoid-the-scams.

PTR and PTC sites are really not worth it. Been there done that.

If you want something easy, then do some micro jobs such as those in Fiverr. If you want an online job, check out oDesk or eLance.

If you are not sure what you want and have the time and patience to learn how to do legitimately earn online, then sign up for a free course about, what else but how to earn online.

If you really want to earn, don't do those PTR and PTC sites. Those are just a waste of time

Here are the main ways you can earn money from the Internet:

1. Sell products on the Web - You can either sell: (a) through your own storefront through your own website or applications such as Yahoo Stores; or (b) sell through online auctions like eBay

http://www.ebay.com
http://www.amazon.com

2. Information Delivery. Others such as About.com create content and monetize their content in a number of ways:

a. Advertising - there are several ways you can earn money from advertising:

1. Join an advertising network. Advertising networks are organizations that aggregate Web sites that offer advertising space, and sell banner ads (and other advertising options) across them. Traffic requirement is often a minimum of 5,000 monthly impressions, although many do not accept sites hosted by free page services.

Burst Media http://www.burstmedia.com
ValueClick http://www.valueclickmedia.com
Advertising.com. http://www.advertising.com
Tribal Fusion http://www.tribalfusion.com

2. Participate in contextual advertising networks. Contextual advertising are text ads delivered based on the content of the web page using an automated system.

Google Adsense https://www.google.com/adsense/

Kontera http://www.kontera.com
Chitika http://www.chitika.com
Bidvertiser http://www.bidvertiser.com/

3. Sell advertising for your site directly. This is admittedly a more difficult route for a small business site wanting to earn advertising revenues. But hey, as they say: "no pain, no gain!"

b. Affiliate Programs - you sell other people's products that your audience may be interested in; and you get a certain commission after the desired action was done (whether a sale, a lead, subscription to email newsletter, or however this is defined)

Paid online content. Hoovers.com or WebmasterWorld.com Supporters forum all require paid subscription before accessing the information
