blogging on wordpress as photographer?

im new to blogging, but have been taking photos since i was a kid and then began doing it more professionally.. i have a site where i sell my images taken in and around the US.

could anyone give me some tips to get the right kind of attention to my blog? what types of "topics" should i search for or follow so im engaging with and gaining the right kind of followers, ie people interested in my photographs, fans of my work etc.

Have you tried Twitter and a Facebook page? I get a lot of my photography traffic from posting there. I also post my blog to those places as well.
