How to start a conversation on facebook?

There's this girl i kinda like, and im really shy so i don't really talk to her at school, and i just added her on facebook and im not really sure what to say. any ideas? .-.

Honestly just say "Hey!" She'll probably respond with something like "Um do I know you" or if she's more outgoing she'll reply back. If she says "Um do I know you?" Say something along the lines of no, but you look cute and I thought we should be friends " girls love that confidence.

if she's in any of your classes, say "hey, did we have any homework for ..." or "did you understand the lesson on..." and ask her for help or something.
or you could just say hey, honestly, im a girl and whenever someone i don't really know says hey, i assume they are a nice person and reply back good luck!
