Are the applications on Facebook safe to use?
I see that Farmville is very popular but was wondering if it is safe to add these things to my profile page ? would they carry viruses ?

It doesn't have viruses but Farmville is gay. Don't play it.

Some are safe and others are not. This is why they give you are warning that it is made to run on facebook by it is not created by facebook and mcafee and facebook have a co-developed version of security software that they are offering.

Shane, it's safe - I play FarmVille and have had no trouble whatever.
If your computer has a good virus program, you shouldn't need to worry about any popular game on either MySpace or FaceBook.

(I understand some 70mill people play FarmVille)
