I cannot tag myself in pictures on facebook?

I am not sure why but I cannot tag myself in pictures of me in a friend's album and neither can she. I had changed the privacy settings so that I approve any tags of me but I changed it back because I am having trouble. Other responses to this question are just how to tag pictures; I know how to tag a picture on Facebook, it just isn't letting me. My friend can tag herself and other people in the album, just not me. Any suggestions?
