Am I the only one who notices strange things in some facebook users?

For example, i've noticed that facebook people post pictures and videos of themselves dancing or doing other rediculous stuff just to hear or see others say nice things about them and give them compliments. If you don't say what they are expecting you to say and you say something else and not give them any compliments for example they get really angry. Has that ever happen to you on facebook? have you noticed that aswell? am i seeing things i'm not supposed to be seeing?

I'm sure peoples ego's surface. I'm mostly friends with my family. If someone wants a compliment I try and give them one. Young teenagers seen to want attention more than anyone.
