i want to start a social group for wiccans?

ii want to start a social group for wiccans but im not sure how to get it started i don't think it would be much of a covan i think more like a clan but i need ideas how to spread word of it to get people to join

Try to start a club at school then sue for religious discrimination when they don't allow it. then use the money to start a real club/

There will already be a local wiccan club near you but they might not broadcast it if they are in an area which persecutes them. Do you think wiccans dress in black and wear tall hats and carry wands> Your father or your teacher or friend could be a wiccan. Do some local research use the net.

i dont think you should try this .-. people usualy tend to consider them either phony or demonic but if you realy want to start this then just keep it small between some friends cus trust me if you go public with things like this the outcome is never realy good for some obvious reasons -.- if you insist on oing public with this fine but im just saying be carefull

You should try putting a notice in http://www.witchvox.com personals or listings.

Also look for local shops and events, you might be able to put out fliers or try local newsletters, you can take out an ad.

Also try meetup.com and other social networking sites.

If you have a Unitarian Universalist Church in your area you can see if they have a CUUPs group (Covenant of the UU Pagans), even if not maybe you can hang a note on their bulletin board or put it in their church newsletter.


Random Guy makes good points... you do have to be careful, maybe meet at a book store or busy park at first, and beware that you might get some serious flakey types who don't really know what Wicca is, they just saw Charmed too much.
