Why does it say I have to verify my account on Facebook by adding my phone, or credit card?

I tried adding a comment on facebook, only to have it ask me to verify my account. I though I had already verified it once already by signing up to the site, and checking my email. Why do I have to do it again? What if I don't have a credit card, or cellphone? Am I stuck not being able to post comments forever until I get said card, or phone?

you won't be asked for a credit card it is prob a scam. delete your account and make a new one

Scan your computer with your anti virus and anti malware programs. Your system is infected. Also change your password once your system is clean.

my account did that to after about 3 weeks it stopped doing it
