If I am obsessed with someone but when I'm with them act very normal/standoffish, can they tell?

If I obsess over them when they're not around (talk constantly of them, think of them, check their social media sites) like craazy, but I put on an act like I don't care when I am near him, can he still somehow pick up my obsessiveness ? And when I say put on an act I am good at it. i almost act like i don't care when he talks to me, and i keep my body language in check. Can he still somehow sense it, or am I good?

I do the same with my teacher! Good to know I'm not the only one I'm NOT interested in her as a girlfriend, BTW. It's just that I look up to her so much that I just feel really self-conscious around her ("What if I offend her? Or say something stupid?") She is the best friend I have ever had, too, and I most definitely don't want to lose that! I do the exact same things you just described, LOL. Except I don't act like I don't care when she talks to me. I seek her out all the time to chat
