How do you update your status from a cell phone on Myspace and FaceBook?

I go on myspace and facebook and peoples status says (updated from mobile)..so i go to my settings and try to find that option...and i cant.

so how do i do that??

click my account>mobile>enter your number

for facebook:
when you log in theres a bunch of ads on the right and stuff and one of them says "connect with friends" under that section you will see the word mobile in a link click it
