Has anyone ever used Facebook to stalk you or use as a form of manipulation?

I hesitated from blocking these people because they used to be my friends and it would make my life more complicated, so I deactivated facebook as of a few days ago.

Over the past year, I have had some issues with a couple crazy men and a few gay/bisexual women stalking me and using facebook as a way to post explicit posts or images. I'm a straight female and it's really annoying me that it has come to this. It's people I knew and some were friends I met in public--but not until they friended me on facebook did I realize how creepy they were.

It became all too obvious the messages were directed towards me. Then they started with the comments and "liking" of photos of myself on my profile that it became really uncomfortable. I don't put much info of myself on there. The people who got upset the most when I started pulling away were those obsessive people. People are free to protest but I wonder if FB is a form of manipulation when used in this way.

I'm glad that I'm off it, but they've started sending email saying that they want to see me, etc. Ugh! Anyone else have this experience and how did you deal with it. Thanks.

Firstly, u Might want to consider about making new accounts. Well but before just let all the Ppl u still want to be friends and not related so close to them and Mail them to not tell the annoying ons ur new email or accounts. Or if u don't wanna erase it, them just ignore them, don't read the Message and just delete it instantly if it's forum the one you hate+without hestitation and if They still wanna be ur friends just let them regret for around a week and u know start forgiving them if u want to
