Macbook Pro won't turn on!! What's Wrong?

I've had this Macbook Pro for about 6 months and today it wont turn on. Here's what's going on....

There are signs of life in it, when I try to reboot it, it makes noises and when I start it up again you can see the login screen (very faintly because for some reason the backlight will not work, its like when you have the brightness level on the lowest setting). A few seconds later it completely shuts off again. I've been trying to fix this problem for a few hours and I really need this computer for school next week. When my old MacBook got like this I would just take out the battery and put it back in, but that's not an option with the MacBook Pro.
Any help would be really appreciated! I'm going to set an appointment for the Apple Store tomorrow if I cant fix it myself.
