What damage do facebook viruses do?

I'm just interested to know what facebook viruses actually do to your account.
Do they mess with your information and delete friends?
I need to know as some strange stuff has been happening with mine,

As far as I know, Facebook is not the creator of any virus'. It is any of the applications that are used on Facebook that bring them. They can basically do anything. These virus' are a part of your computer though, not just when browsing the web. So I would virus scan/registry clean all of your computer to make sure things are going alright and fix any problems.
