Why does my computer keep going back to my home page?

For some reason my computer keeps going back my my homepage.

Example: Im on facebook or something and all of a sudden it will go back to my homepage which is google.

I cleared my cookies by going to tools and that did help. I scanned my computer aswell. Please help!

Common causes are unwanted Toolbars, unwanted browser add-ons, hidden malware your antivirus is not catching. This is also normal for that terribly insecure browser named IE.

Check your toolbars and browser add-ons first. It would be helpful to run CCleaner to ensure everything unwanted in browser TEMP folders is actually removed.

If all else fails, try using your computer in Safe Mode (w/networking enabled). This will determine if something was running in the background or not!

Final options other than a browser re-installation would be to boot the computer from a Rescue CD designed to hunt malware while windows is not running.
