How can I block certain friend's updates from showing up on my Facebook home page?
I want to add people for apps I play, but I really don’t want all their updates and posts on my homepage. I don’t want to lose my real friends in a sea of posts from strangers I added for apps.
It's actually very common these days. lol On MySpace you can pick and choose who you want to see updates from, but I haven't found a way to do it on Facebook yet.

Facebook isn't so flexible. Neither Facebook nor MySpace allow for "app friends" (people added only for apps). It is assumed everybody on your friends list is a genuine friend. Never actually heard of anybody adding people simply for apps alone

After you make a connection with your 'app friends' on the game you are playing, you can delete them from your friends on facebook and they will still be friends with you on the game. ..

Just go to news and feeds settings and disable them. So next time nothing will come to your home page.
