Downloaded drivers not working for WLAN?
I reinstalled windows on my Dell Inspiron E1505 and downloaded the drivers from the Dell website. I began installing the drivers. I cannot get the wireless card to work. The only thing in the Device Manager that shows up as a question mark is the Network Controller. When I try to install the WLAN driver, it states that there is no hardware to support the driver. I actually got the message "this is not a Dell compatible system" one time.

Try downloading all the drivers and extract into folder without installing it. Manually add the hardware and point the driver folder to search appropriate driver. You will be good to go with the drivers.

M,
Once you reinstall Windows back into your computer you will need to install the Drviers in a specific order so that they work properly. Below is a link to your Vista Drivers as well as the order in which they will need to be installed. I have also included another link for install Vista.
