i need tips or ideas or whatever so can make friends?

ok, im in middle school and i have no close friends. i feel like a rock on the side of a street!! i cry all night because seeing people on social media having TONS of fun wit there friends and here i am all alone. im on break and i never felt so lonely....my parents try to help me but, i just don't know that they can help....i need help LIKE KNOW.i don't know if schools have like a friend thing for people to make friends and crap.

First of all, as much as your generation of people are so in sync with social media, do not let it dictate your emotions or thoughts of people. Having alot of friends on a social media website doesn't mean anything - maybe those people have so many friends online but none in real life?

What you should do is look into clubs, teams or any sort of interest group such as sports, reading clubs or something to meet new people. You can share similar interests and that is usually an easy way to make friends.

middle school is rough, and I'm so glad that is behind me. but the best thing that you can do is try to smile and just start up a casual conversation with someone that you sort of already know. If you are nice and smile and seem excited to see people, chances are he/she will be excited to talk to you. It's true: when people like us, we tend to like them more. So go out and just be nice. Smile and talk to people. i know it seems intimidating but the best thing you can do is to just smile and start off with some small talk. "I really like your shoes! Did you just get them?" when they answer you, you can follow up and say, "wow, well they are really nice!" You can even go to class and talk to one of your classmates about an assignment: "Ugh, so much reading over break!"
It may not seem like much but after a lot of small talk you can form close relationships.

The best part is: we all go through rough times in middle school whether you are popular or not, tears will be shed. but there are also smiles in junior high
