Is it true that Fan Check Photos carries a virus?

A friend of mine on Facebook commented on the Fan Check application that someone had tagged me in and it said "I would delete this and the app if I were you, it's virused."

Is this true?
He is a trusted friend though, so I doubt he would lie.

I did a search for Fancheck on google earlier and one of the websites that comes up is filled with malware... I'm not sure whether that was the Fancheck website...

Its not been confirmed yet but people have said about it, im sure if it was facebook would remove it

those fan checks are starting to do my head in now, but i once got a virus from one of the facebook app. So yeah there probs is but i'm sure facebook will sort it out

I would just remove it to be sure. These people here might not be suffering anything eg: annoying pop ups, deleting files etc.. like traditional viruses, but they could also install a keylogger into your PC, so they could have access to your passwords to your mail account, bank account, facebook account etc... You could also be made into a zombie PC and you could be infecting others on the net without you knowing

Yes it is a virus within the application that is affecting fb users who have apllied the app, delete asap and get untagged.Chat is slow and news feeds are affected.
