It sounds like you want him to take charge. And honestly I know girls love confidence, (I've walked up to girls I have never met and achieved in getting their number). And by the sound of it, when he replies to your "your nice and sweet" comments it sounds like he doesn't really hear that often. A guy loves to be told he's good etc. but don't overdue it. Give the guy hints to what you want, if he can't fulfill your needs then the relationship you have with him right now won't meet up to his or your standards. Just don't make him the major part of your day right now because then you will be expecting more from him from then on.

What if he feels just like you do. make a special friend arrangement until spring break or summer you both don't want to commit to a foolish delusion with out even dating first. tell him how you want to feel give your number and expect nothing until you can get together
