Is the Internet less FUN than it used to be?
I'm referring to a variety of items that are currently bumming me out: more advertising, slowing down loading and emailing; format changes that present constant unfamiliarity and often delete a feature I liked--phone calls on Yahoo Messenger, f'r'instance; an excessive number of "social & networking sites" flooding us; some 20 times the amount of junk spam I got 7 years ago. Feel free to fill in your own pet peeves. ;-)

We should round up all those pill-hopped programmers and advertisers and put them to the rack, burn them at the stake, and then behead them...and then bring them back to life so we could do it all over a'gain.

(Just thought you could use some support, *taps fists*)

Ads and spam get vacuumed up by software before I see it, so that's not a problem.
I found a way to avoid the new yahoo mail format and keep the classic, so that's now OK..

My complaint is all the "social networking" stuff which appears to have driven Americans insane.
I don't use any of it. I can't figure out why a TV commercial for a pizza place wants people to like them on facebook. What's the value of that?

Over the last 15 years the internet has gotten over its "wild west" adolescence, and become a tool of business. But it is also still very useful for individuals. So its utility value has vastly increased.

But it is less fun. Or maybe I'm less fun?

I know YA is lots less fun
I also miss the 360 on Yahoo. I had to get a Facebook to replace that. But I miss my blog opportunities on 360

Miss interfacing Yahoo and AT&T as prime page, but; YAHOO is trying.
