How do i get rid of a facebook virus?

My face book is sending random stuff to my friends even when im not on. I ran a anti virus program and its still on my computer? What should i do ? Someone please help.

Go download a trial version of AVG (http:/avg.com/) have it scan your computer and clean it if it finds any viruses, also change your Facebook password on another computer, not the one that is infected.
