How does the star on the football team have to settle for a fake internet girlfriend?
At first I couldn't believe that the Manti Te'o thing was actually news. But after learning more about the hoax, I feel sorry for him, and the girl whose picture was used to bait him. He went through so much after losing his grandma and her the same week. Then people accused him of assisting in the scam. They think he knew it was fake before the story broke. But on the flip side, he was kinda stupid. They were in a relationship for 2 years and never agreed to at least do a FaceTime/skype session. That would have exposed the scammer for the scum that he is. Still, will people do online dating even though the profile of a cute and respectable girl could be some deadbeat 40 year old pervert hiding behind the computer screen. But I am reassured that since anonymity is dying online, that this may be happening less, I don't want to be another Manti.

I just hope this doesn't prevent him from being drafted to the NFL. Still, he was a big man on campus. HE could have banged any girl on campus that offered him pussy. Or was that the reason he got a fake internet girlfriend in the first place? If being the star of the football team isn't going to get you a girl in college, what will? I am not that athletic and I was a C student in college. is the only option for me a fake twitter girlfriend? Or is there hope for me in the real world? how does one go about getting a real girlfriend? I have't been able to get enough practice. I just don't want to marry the first girl that falls in love with me and then ruins my life by treating me like shit.

You have to remember that he is a strict Mormon and premarital sex is not allowed. So by having an internet girlfriend he didn't have to get involved in real girls at school (and how many Mormon girls do you think there are at a Catholic college anyway) and resist temptation.
