I am having problems with pop ups, but why?
I have recently found that pop up windows are appearing when i click on links on various websites. These links are not pop up links. The pop ups are adverts selling: health pills, porn, social sites, casinos and free screen savers. I have the problem in Internet Explorer and Firefox both of which are the latest versions and both have the pop up blocker enabled. I have done a virus and spyware scan but found nothing. What is happening? Please Help.

Use one or both of the following, one at a time.
SpyBot Search And Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl… AdAware Free http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php Reboot in safe mode with networking. Turn off System Restore to prevent re-infection from infected restore points. To get into Safe Mode with Networking: <--Extremely Important! 1. Turn off system restore 2. Log out and reboot your machine. 3. When the machine starts the reboot sequence, press the F8 key repeatedly. 4. Select Safe Mode with Networking from the resulting menu. |

Your problems should be resolved by using these:
These are all FREE !!!! Computer Maintenance Advanced WindowsCare V2 Personal http://www.iobit.com/advancedwindowscare... CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ Spybot Search&Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html Ad Aware http://www.adware-pro-live.com/ Avira AntiVir® PersonalEdition Classic.... http://www.free-av.com/ I've been using them all for over three years now. They are all compatible with each other and Windows XP, Vista and Linux as well as older versions of Windows and Linux. You will have a trouble free, clean, green, mean machine. |
