speaking to someone on skype are you more inclined to meet them in person?

if you spoke to someone all the time, would you be more inclined to see them more often in person if you spoke more on skype or facebook chat?
Sounds like such a weird question but i'm curious if seeing the person on webcam would make you more likely to want to see them more?

Well, I met this girl through online games, and we have been speaking to each other for many months now. We both want to see each other as she lives in a different country all together. So i guess, you can tell if you both want to meet more easily if you saw their expressions. Still have to wonder if they are a good actor or not :3 but easier to tell then through simple text as they could say any old rubbish.

Yeah, definitely, of course. I mean, if you can see what someone looks like and hear how their voice sounds, you are probably going to be able to fully imagine that the person you're talking to is a REAL person and not just a random dissociated being that generates text responses to what you're writing! lol Not but seriously seeing someone on webcam lets you know (for the most part) that the other person is who they say they are, right? I have plans to meet up with someone I met playing a game on Facebook Rounds (http://apps.facebook.com/chatrounds/conv...bannerid=0 ) because he was chill and my age. But you can be sure that if we hadn't been chatting on webcam I would've assumed he was either 10 years younger or 10 years older than he said he was! And I wouldn't have wanted to meet him at all if I hadn't seen him on webcam. (he's cute... lol )
