Socialism is not a bad word. It is used as such by demagogues playing on ignorant people.

Try because it has failed around the world. More often then not.

Because in a socialist community, how hard you work means nothing. How little you work means nothing. Everybody gets the same no matter how hard they work or how lazy they are and that would mean the end of ambition, motivation, new technology. Our country would die because if the people who are lazy get the same as those who work hard, then those who work hard will stop because they have nothing to work for. I hope this helped!
