How Can I Update My Regulars Through Text Messages?

I run a small gaming company and recently a lot of my regular customers have been asking me if I can keep them updated through mobile/cell phone, which made me wonder, is there a service out there that provides the ability to let them subscribe to news updates and such that I can send out, rather than having to manually add/send out to all of them? We're currently going through a 'beta' phase and this would be a lot of help.

Some people actually use services like twitter for this. You can text to twitter and if your customers are following you on twitter and have the texting feature enabled on twitter, what you send from your phone via text will go to their phones via text. Just a thought for ya.
