How does media (television, newspapers, magazines, movies, commercials, music, etc.) positively and negatively affect social awareness of enviromental issues and/or the process of becoming a "greener" society.

Media sells what sells which is sex, humor and things that frighten people and not a real picture of Earth or humans.
Spreads anger and gossip and lies. Most humans enjoy all of these.

Media has the power to convince people. In a positive way, it can make people aware of what is happening around the world and how climate change impacts us today.

It can open people's eyes on how we can contribute to make a difference in simple ways and what ways must we change or adapt to help safeguard our environment.

The media can also get us updated with the most recent, safest, eco-friendly concepts, technologies and solutions which can aid reduce carbon footprints, reduce waste and make the place a better place and have a brighter tomorrow.
