Could you please check and improve my sentences?
Can a dog can act? If it can, can it get an Oscar for performance? Those are the questions trending on social networking sites recent days. The matter is simple. There is a movie called "The Artist" in which a dog named Akki performed so well and attracted the audiences. The fans of Akki have been putting their wishes on facebook and twitter that the academy awards team should introduce a new category of "Best Actor Dog" to select the well deserved Akki for the Oscars. There is no reply from the academy members yet. We could see whether the dog has won or not in a few weeks. However, the dog received an award for its performance at Cannes Film Festival which had been conducted recently.

Guys, this is my current level of English. Please tell me how I am doing, so that I can improve.

Here is your paragraph after my corrections. I think the main issue you are having is choosing the right way to phrase things. English is difficult in that respect, so it should become easier as you practice.
