Lol. Everyone always says this whenever a new artist or boy band comes out. I think that fans of Justin Bieber's and One Direction can like other artists music rather than just that one certain artist or band but I don't think that Justin Bieber fans are leaving him for One Direction. There are several artists and boy bands that has come into this world and yet Justin Bieber still has his Beliebers. I find Justin Bieber fans and Beliebers the complete opposite from each other. Justin Bieber fans only like Justin Bieber for a certain reason and leave him when things get tough or a new artist or band comes into the show business. A Belieber is someone that supports Justin Bieber no matter what he does or who he becomes as an artist or person. That's why their called a Belieber, they believe in Justin. Justin Bieber has been in the music industry for quite a while now he has been growing and going through changes and One Direction is a single boy band that just got into the music industry so there are people that are wondering who these people are and what their like. One Direction is a band of five so they are going to have a lot of fans but they have their own fan base and career while Justin Bieber is one solo artist and has his fan base and his career. The only way that One Direction could take over Justin Bieber is if they were to take all of Justin Bieber fans somehow which is highly impossible with as many fans as Justin has. Justin Bieber has fans all over the world including the places that you would never even think of. He has sold 23 million singles, he has a platinum album in 26 countries, he has 18,159,820 Twitter followers, he has toured all over the world on his My World Tour last year and plans to again on his upcoming Believe Tour, he has 41,140,457 people on Facebook that has "liked" him, he has sold out several arenas and he has 2 billion hits on YouTube. You could tell if you are following Justin Bieber on Twitter, that his following rate is going up every month to a different million so rather than losing fans he seems to be gaining them. When Justin Bieber released his first music video "One Time" it seemed like almost everyone knew who he was. Justin Bieber has several dedicated fans that like him more than just his appearance and his music and that can't all disappear by one boy band. They don't even do other things rather than singing and flirting. Justin Bieber could play 4 instruments, sing and dance nor ever has had lessons for the things that he learned it just all came natural to him. One Direction is more famous in the United Kingdom than anywhere else. They seem to be taking things a little too fast I mean they just got discovered and they already have a book and an upcoming movie. Justin Bieber didn't have a book or a upcoming movie until later in the year of 2010 and beginning of 2011 when Justin Bieber was discovered in year of 2009. If One Direction already has a book and a movie what do they have planned for in the future? They should of left the fans with a surprise and had the fans a lot longer. I know Justin Bieber is not going to be as famous as he is now forever but I don't think that One Direction will be able to take over Justin Bieber and achieve what Justin Bieber has achieved and get as many fans as Justin Bieber has in this journey of his. Justin Bieber came into the music industry at the perfect timing when there wasn't much very popular artists and boy bands around and everyone was looking for an artist or band to really like. One Direction came in with the band called The Wanted which seems to be an older version of them and they both have the same popularity rate.

i love them both, but yeah, seems like it. like i said, i adore both, but lots of girls are leaving justin for 1D, and 1D are getting more and more popular and mobbed a lot, which is what happened with justin at the start of his career (literally every single time he went to an airport there were like a zillion people waiting for him), but nowadays it just seems like he's ignored. according to the fact that he gains a million twitter followers a month, it seems like he should be gaining popularity instead of losing it, but i just don't see it. doesn't make much sense to me.

it's obvious that while justin has a pretty large, dedicated fanbase left, he won't last forever. he'll always hold a special place in my heart (believe it or not, he and his music helped me through some pretty rough times), but i'm less in love with him than i was in 2010-2011. he's changing, and while i don't think he shouldn't be allowed to grow up, a lot of his attitude lately has been turning me off from him. but like i said, i'll always remember him.

it's funny, though. in two years, we might be having this same conversation about one direction and some other new artist. who knows?
