If my Facebook account is locked for security reasons, how do I delete my account?

Facebook has locked my account for security reasons. To unlock it they want either a phone number or a copy of a government issued ID, which I am simply not going to provide. How do I delete my account if I do not have access?

i Dont think you could delete your account even if you log in.. but its better you give them your phone number or email so that they can know that its you and send you the password or a link on how to access your account.

Wow a lot of people have had this problem today. Including me. It happend with FB and my Instagram. It says they sent a email after I put my info in and I haven't got it. It's been over 7 hours. I hope we both figure this out.

Nope. You will have to follow the steps it gives you and that is what you just listed. Otherwise your account will remain locked.
