He's too old for you. He's an adult, his brain is finished developing as well as his body. You're a teenager, and by the time you're 20 you're going to realize you truly are a lot different than you are now. Tell him you can still be his friend but you can't do this. If he's a good guy, he'll understand. If he doesn't understand then he may be a bad guy who you shouldn't be around anyway.

I applaud you for being very serious and careful about this. Most girls your age would be stupid about it and embrace thinking it's 'love'. A guy that is almost 30 years old should know better and he is playing with fire, as society is VERY strict about things like this. he could ruin his life, especially if he's this way with other girls as young as you are.

However, you know him better than we do and if he's always treated you right and has never said bad or inappropriate things to you, then I think you can still talk to him, but I would not be anywhere with him alone or engage in certain types of conversations.

You did the right thing. On you're part it seems rude to say something like that, but seeing as I had older friends like that at you're age, it's still really wrong for a man that age to feel that way, regardless. Even if he was sincere, which I doubt, it's not worth ruining your life because of the consequences, which make too long of a list to name. Its much too much of a headache, so just stay away. No matter how mature you are, you could never be relationship or legally mature enough to deal with that kind of headache.
