Don't delude yourself. Here are the real realities. The Chinese government is actually quietly promoting Christianity:
"Christianity is seen as useful from the official point of view because it's not just about acting morally as an individual and being a good citizen. It's about the work ethic," http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/20...g?page=0,0 ...and it is estimated that China will soon become the largest Christian country in the world...but don't take my word for it... take secular business reports: http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/...ristianity Even al-Jezeera recognizes the rapid rise of Christianity in China: http://www.aljazeera.com/programmes/101e...19175.html The fact of the matter is, all credible research shows the epicenter of world Christianity is shifting from Europe and North America to Asia, Africa and Latin America in terms of growth - and that includes China. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-14838749 Beijing likes to control things. If they have to "pick" a religion to encourage, all they have to do is look around to their neighbors like Pakistan to see which religion NOT to promote! Beijing doesn't like social unrest and fanaticism. Also, the "Father" of modern China, Sun Yat-Sen, was in fact a Christian. His mausoleum in Nanjing is a major Chinese shrine and has the highest classification of Chinese national monuments along with the Great Wall, the Terracotta Army, and the Temple of Heaven in Beijing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sun_Yat-sen_Mausoleum Ads |
