Digital trends like Facebook and Twitter show that our generation likes to feel connected to the rest of the world. We want to know what our friends think, what they are doing, who they are talking to, etc. and similarly we want our friends to know what we think, what we are doing, who we are talking to, etc. We want to be able to have a more intimate connection with our favourite bands and athletes.

Technology has evolved in that a lot of computers are a lot faster now, and can store more information. Computer programs have more features. Windows and other operating systems have gotten "makeovers" and are a lot sleeker and user-friendly. Chunky cell phones have been replaced by smartphones capable of running games with good graphics and high-resolution screens. Video games are getting more realistic. Robots are getting more advanced. Technology is changing the way we live everyday, because we use it in pretty much every aspect of our life. There's technology for even turning on the light now just by clapping.

Must have technologies...hmm, I would say my computer. A lot of other technologies are nice to have (television, microwave, etc.) but you can always watch television shows online, and I guess you can always farm your own food! There are so many things you can do with a computer (with Internet access): e-mail, calendar, games, news...it's all I really need.
