am I the only one who notices strange things in some facebook users?

For example, i've noticed that facebook people post pictures and videos of themselves dancing or doing other rediculous stuff just to hear or see others say nice things about them and give them compliments. If you don't say what they are expecting you to say and you say something else and not give them any compliments for example they get really angry. Has that ever happen to you on facebook? have you noticed that aswell? am i seeing things i'm not supposed to be seeing?

It is like they just want you to see what they look like. But, when an opinion is asked, I feel like they should not be offended.
