Can I still use my iphone?

Okay so my iPhone has had all kinds of problems for a while now. Normally I would bring it to apple but i had a blue screen put on which voids your insurance. Instead of paying like $500 for a new one, I reported it missing so I only had to pay a smaller fee to have another one sent to me. My main question is obviously I can't send texts or make calls or they will know, but can I still use my apps such as twitter/instagram?

you can use wifi,as for the phone and text,the iphone will be put on the blacklist making it useless as a phone.

well assuming its jail broken, you could get a new sim if your concerned that they'll find out. If you restore it to manufactory setting, in itunes that will get it back to the way it was when you bought it new. See if its in working order. If you want to continue with your plan you can re-jailbreak your phone.
