Advice on starting a convo with a boy and asking him out on facebook?

I am in a dilemma there is this and he use to go to my college then he left since then which has been like 3 months i Still cant get him out of my mind. I found him on facebook and i want to get chatting to him i have been waiting to see if he is online but he is not so m going to mail him i want to get chatting to him and eventually ask him out.

This is will be the first time i have asked a boy out and if he says yes then he will be my first boyfriend. I am so nervous but i really want to do this i don't want a let a good opportunity go by he is a shy boy when he was at college he barley spoke and we just every now and then catch each other eyes i felt that there was something there but we were both to shy to do anything i know he always looks at me but am not sure how he felt about me. I hope if he had feeling for me he still does.

the main thing am on here is i want suggestions on how to start a conversation with him my idea was mailing him and saying "hi do you remember me" but that sounds rubbish. Please help me

Go ahead and talk to him on facebook you have nothing to lose, i did that once and i had a 6 month relationship with a guy! Dont worry about it being the first time that you have spoken to a boy, there is a first time for everything! just be yourself. You never know... he looks at you... he could feel the same way!! Don't mean to sound rude or big headed, but im in sixth form at a girls school, and a few girls message me and my friends on facebook to start conversations. If you dont speak to them in person or know them very well it can come across as a bit weird. Of course if you don't see him anymore then you don't have much choice, so maybe like his profile picture first, then a status every now and again and see if he pops up to you. Or make conversation about a status he posted. Good luck.

delete your facebook account / find a guy who doesnt use facebook / get to know him / tell him you like him
