I just unfriend someone on my facebook page and I was worried that they might come back and be all pissed at me for doing this. Does facebook send you an email for doing this?

no, but if they went on your profile it would say ''friend request', instead of ''friends''

They would not receive any notification. The only way for them to notice is by checking their list of friends and realizing you're no longer on it, or by going to your profile and discovering that you are no longer friends.

Facebook doesn't generate any email or notification when you un-friend someone. But eventually they will know if they check their friend list or view your profile.

No they don't, only way is they look for your Facebook and see you are no longer their friend. No email no notifications sent.
