My email and Facebook accounts keep getting hacked. What can I do?

my hotmail, facebook were hacked a couple of times so i changed my email...now all of them have been hacked again including my new email. can i call the police? i live in alabama.

I would guess that you've been using proxy servers. If you were, read this:

Maybe it's your computer. You can get a new computer and create a new email and facebook make sure it's totally different usernames ... make it complicated. And try to contact your internet provider if she/he could change your ip permanently.

Change your passwords every other month not the perfect fix but it will help.

Your computer has been hijacked by malware.

Take it in to a service center for them to save your data, format the hard drive, and re-install the operating system and your applications.

Changing your email or accounts won't fix the issue. Giving up old email accounts is NEVER a good idea, because other people will trust that them and be fooled into clicking on links just like you did to originally infect your computer.

you MIGHT have a keylogger virus on your computer.... or are just really unlucky. So I suggest that come up with better/longer/complicated passwords and save that on a word doc or what have you. If all all else fails go to you local computer service expert and have them clean your harddrive (but save everything before hand that you want to keep) ...

No i doubt that calling the police will have any affect

change your password and you could change your name and if you share a computer with someone they could just be getting on it and changing the password and don't log in to any of those at a public place like a library or you could have a keylogger so i suggest getting an anti virus program like malware bytes

I don't the police will help you. First of all, scan your computer with several malware removal tools. It can be infected with spyware or keyloogers. Here's more information about such threats:

Then, make sure you use strong enough passwords to protect your email and facebook accounts. Here's a guide how to create a strong password:

And if you still (after taking all above mentioned means) have a feeling like being spied on, then it is probably wise to invest some more money for professional analysis of your PC.
