My computer is being displayed as a media server?
On my network my computer is being shown as a media server, despite the fact I dont think I did this. Is there a way to stop it being a media server? Apparently it is a way to access my home network?
Thanks guys, I forgot to say that my OS is windows 7 Smile
Also, can you tell me a way to stop it being a media server?

You set up you computer to share media files to your local network. It only means that DLNA and some uPNP devices can ask it for content, not that this content is available outside your home network.

Can you tell us what your OS is, and we can point you in the right direction.

[EDIT: "my OS is Windows 7"

Looks like the answer by bawoodruff in February will do the job right.
