What words/phrases would you like to be extinguished from the English language forever?
You know........stuff that is waaay over-used in social circles, in the media or by your monster-inlaw so much it grates on your teeth every time you hear it.
Here are my favourites: (grrrr) ......And everything like that...... Closure Post 911 ....and all that sort of thing.......... Aaagh! Got some more? The one that sounds most like fingernails on a blackboard gets the ten points. Ads |

I also hate: a) Issue, as in "she has issues with..." people don't have problems anymore? b) Dilemma, when people simply don't know what to DO, not which one to CHOOSE. c) Misuse of "Passive-Aggressive"; a lot of people use it the wrong way. |
